This technology offers more than twice the operating life over standard halogen lamps. Based on its advanced technology, SHL generates reduced heat and requires less electrical power for the same optical performance.

ECE has developed 3 sizes of lamps with SHL technology: PAR36, 46 and 64. A significant improvement in reliability has been confirmed by a 6 months evaluation on A320. Many major airlines have already adopted the SHL technology.
